I made this skirt a long while back from a wool blend from Treadle. But when I got down to hemming and putting in the zipper, I got bored and resentful (?!) and cast it aside.
Then last year I found these felt squirrels that I’d cut out for another project and the colors seemed to work. They also made the skirt more interesting to me.
So glad it’s done! Maybe some of that resentment still lingers…I want it out of my house!! Size 10. Who wants it?


20140201-220205.jpgThe fabric has an interesting pattern and texture on the flip side, so I used it inside-out for the pleats.

20140201-220218.jpgI was hoping to put in an outside zipper (love that style…really plays to my aversion to installing hidden zippers!) but –in all of those zippers, I didn’t have a color match.
